85 organizations dedicated to the health and well-being of children wrote in response to the Biden’s administration’s proposed rule to expand health care coverage to DACA recipients.

The comment highlights the impact improved access to health care coverage will have on the well-being of DACA recipients as well as that of their children. It also expresses support for additional provisions in the rule which would expand health care coverage to other immigrant children, including those approved for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status as well as children under age 14 applying for humanitarian programs. Additionally, the comment makes recommendations to improve the rule to address additional health care gaps and barriers facing immigrant children and youth.
